Just wanted you to let you know that my sister, Carolyn, is coming up from Newburg, MO, to stay with me for awhile to help me with packing and moving things! I'm trying to get some of my STUFF hauled to Cuba, MO and get ready to put this house for sale in South County! She went and checked on the Cuba, Mo home to close the vents to the crawl space and turn the heat on! Everything seems to be pretty well okay there and found out the house next to mine sold and a State Trooper lives there with dogs in the back yard....Private Fencing....they barked when Carolyn was checking the back yard. I said, Well, I'm not too sure about the dogs and hope they don't bark all the time....but no one should bother the place with a Trooper next door! I don't know if they are the same ones who wanted to buy mine or not, but he was a Trooper with a wife and little boy and wanted to buy property so they could have more children and raise their family!

Well, I know God is protecting me and my homes, for the lawn is being mowed and trimmed here by my next door neighbor, who is really nice and helpful! And the lawn is being mowed down there by (I don't know who...but God does) and Carolyn said it looked nice but very, very soggy as there has been lots and lots of rain down there as well as here, but I don't think quite as much!

If I don't post as often then you will know why! I still have my ill days as well as good days but don't worry about me if you don't hear from me very often for a week or two! Just pray that Carolyn and I will be well enough with the strength to do what needs to be done! Thank you! God Bless! Ma Betty

Yeh, as long as he doesn't give me a TICKET! God Bless! Betty

Who knows? Maybe you can get to know and become friends with the trooper as well as with his dogs? Having him next door will probably bring you piece of mind. Enjoy the new surrounds and may God bring a buyer quickly. God bless...

take it one day at a time at the pace you can handle.
God bless ya.

Pray that the move goes well Ma. Is Cuba, MO. off of interstate 40? I went down that way once on the way to Texas, and I thought I saw a sign for Cuba.

Thank you, DK, but I won't be moving permanently for awhile because I still have to have some things repaired before I can sell my home here! Carolyn is just coming to spend time with me and to help pack things and move them around, so I will know more about where things are when I do rent a U-Haul and move a lot of STUFF, to get the basement and etc. uncluttered! I've been collecting things since 1953, when I graduated from Bunker High School and came to ST. Louis to find a job and I did until married and my second child came along after the first...was too much to work and take care of babies too, but I did work later on when they and my third child were older and grown!

No, it is Interstate 44 that takes you to Rolla and on south from there! Highway 40 pretty well divides the city and the county in St. Louis! I will let ya all know when I do move to stay in Cuba, otherwise, I'll just be busy trying to get things done here and then down there!

Thanks everyone and yes, Mike, I will take it slow and easy, because I can't do anything without getting really, really tired! That is way my sister is coming for a couple of weeks to help me, but she has a bad back and an ill husband with diabetis and COPD and heart problems, so don't know how long she will get to stay!

God is very good to me, so either I live long enough to move to Cuba, MO or He will take me home, whichever comes first! God Bless! Betty
