Hello from MO....We're resting today, as Cliff and I are very tired and....

our energy seems to be depleted. Should mow the lawn again, as with the rain we've had, it is growing tall and needs cutting before I have to use the bag to keep it from looking like a hay field, but heat and humidity is unbearable today!

Listened to and watched Pastor Adrian Rogers' (who has passed away) sermon this morning on Direct TV and it was really good! He used Proverbs 29:1-----------He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and without remedy.

God will not always strive with man and, when the Holy Spirit quits His quickening any sinner to be saved, it just may be too late!!

A story told by my long ago pastor, Bro. Howell Burkhead.....There were three young men and they attended church and when the preaching was about God's Holy Spirit urging the sinners to come....they said to hell with God and left for a joy ride.....ending up losing control of the steering wheel from excesive speed and hit a tree....killing them all! Now, they have no more chance to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior!

Something to think about and when the Spirit is nudging your heart and beckoning you to come to Jesus.....please accept His welcome invitation to be grafted into the Family Tree as a member of God's Family!! I can guarantee the sinner who sincerely does will never be sorry!

God Bless each and hope to see ya all in the sweet by and by, as a brother and sister of God!

And verse 2....pertains to our upcoming election with much needed prayer that we get righteous people in office to govern us in God's will.

I loved listening to Adrian Rogers! I didn't know he had passed away though...when??

Hope you guys are getting some rest!
 
Doug, I think Adrian Rogers passed away a year or so ago and also Dr. James D. Kennedy has passed on, too! They were 2 very good preachers and witnesses for Jesus, but for some reason our Lord took them from their earthly life! He and Adrian Rogers still have their sermons on Video and they are still shown on TV. I love Pastor Rogers sermons.....they are so easy to understand and listen to....He never gets boring and stays right with the Biblical truth! Both very godly men! :angel:

Thanks Paul and yes, it is God's will, as He has led us to the beautiful home that we will be buying in Cuba, MO! I've prayed many years for both the house to sell and for me to find a new home and it is happening, but in His time and not mine! :)

Sure hope they don't wait too long, Steve, as like Pastor Rogers said, there is no promise of tomorrow, as tomorrow may never come, if they put off salvation, for today is the day of salvation! :sad:

Mike, I rested enough to mow the front and back lawn today and watered my flowers.....some of which I haven't planted as yet! Was hot today, but a cool breeze was blowing now and then which helped me to mow....between rest periods! Cliff worked in basement, as he had a headache yesterday and I didn't want him out in the sun today! He's not doing well at all and has low energy....his breathing is bad and coughs and chokes a lot! Please keep praying for him and for my getting my home ready to sell and sold quickly!

Keep finding those goodies and rings! :)

Thanks, Bryce! Yes, it has really been hot and humid, but I did get to mow today, as it wasn't as hot as Sunday and I got some needed rest! A cool breeze was blowing now and then, so that helped me to keep going until it was done.....between my resting periods that is....I have to stop and rest and can't just keep going until it is finished like the young ones do.....But, hey, I was young once, too! :biggrin:

Supposed to be in the 90's tomorrow but even hotter from Wed thru Sunday.....so either don't work or work in the heat as well as MD'ing when it's hot! Hope you keep doing good with that Big Silver! :)

Thanks Mike (chg area) and I take rest periods in the A/C and drink lots of water and liquids! Therefore, I have been doing okay so far! Stay well, keep safe :detecting: and traveling and find lots of neat goodies, coins and etc.! :)
