Hello from the hills of Tennessee:please:

:wave:I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Y'all are the friendliest hunters I have found on any forum. I have sat back from back row and read and enjoyed all of the posts here. Great photos of finds and there appears to be a wonderful camaraderie among the majority of those on this forum. I am here in East Tennessee and started out with my father in 1969 with a Whites 66TR---anyone out there remember the best detector on the market then? We had great times up until he passed away in 2003. Since then I have dropped off, until just recently, from the hobby. I have an Explorer XE, which I purchased in 2000, and it is terrific. Just love the hobby and glad to be back in it. I aspire to have the luck that alot of y'all have with some of those terrific finds and appreciate any tips/tricks y'all post on the forum. Heck who knows I might have a few of my own to post as well. Well I will close with Thank You to the ones in-charge of this forum. May it never become dormant or disappear!

On this Forum you will find endless knowledge from some of the best detectorist's that own and operate the Explorer Line of Detectors. I bought my Explorer XS back in fall of 2001 and have been pleasantly rewarded with great finds since. All it takes is getting to know your detector and getting top performance from it, along of course with good sites. Glad to have you aboard the MINELAB EXPLORER TRAIN. YOU ARE IN FOR QUITE A RIDE! Good Luck and HH.:detecting::thumbup:

Thanks, I love the Explorer I have, nope not an SE, but have owned the XE since new in 2000 and have done quite well with it for the 3 some odd years I have used it. Took it to Cancun in 2002 on the honeymoon!!! My wife loved it! Showed her some tricks and what do you think she found in the first dig???? Heavy 14k mens wedding band! Wow that set her off but with 3 kids to raise not much time. Thanks again.

You say you have an XE, but it is an XS. Just wanted to clear that up with you, but don't worry, everyone on here makes mistakes from time to time, so do not be embarrassed or anything. Just helping out a fellow detectorist! I will look forward to your Postings when you find some of that Loot that is waiting to be retrieved in your area. Good Luck and HH this year!:detecting:

I have been using the Explorer XS and now the SE 4 or 5 years now. I live in Maryville and just got home from our club meeting in Knoxville. Maybe I already know you?

At any rate welcome aboard and I agree this is one very friendly and helpful forum.

HH Alton
