Hi all you minelab folks. I want a new high end detector and it will have to wait untill after the new year but it is going to be a fisher f 75 or a safari. Could anyone tell me about the safari, how deep is it on coins under ideal conditions? Thanks for any info.

I've used both detectors and both are great Detectors, you can not go wrong with either one. The Safari is a very stable Detector and Loves Deep coin size Targets.

Also The Safari is very Deep & Stable on The Salt Water Beach's, and is immune to EMI .....Good luck on your High End Detector

Personally, I cannot comment on the Fisher 75, because I do not know anyone who owns one. I am sure, that Fisher, being around for a long time, makes a fine machine.

I bought my first Minelab back in March of 2011. I could not be happier. I went ahead and bought an Xterra 705 as a back up, and, on an impulse, bought an Excalibur to go into the water. Haven't gotten it out and used it yet.

I do like the Safari. I have confidence using it. All my detecting life, I have been around Whites users. I am sure that they are good machines, but having owned a Whites Spectrum, I just don't see me as a Whites guy.

Fisher users may pile in here, with some good comments on the F75, but, as for me, I am very happy with my Safari.
