HELP,,1280X or SURFMASTER AND BEACH HUNTER 300

Just want a basic opinion if you are in fresh water. I KNOW THE BEACH HUNTER IS THE NEWER WHITES. WHAT BENIFITS DOES ONE HAVE OVER ANOTHER.

The 1280-x is a good fresh water detector- I have used one for years. It is durable, well balanced in the water, and will discriminate iron which will save unnecessary digging. The only problem I have seen with them is that the point where the coil and shaft meet seems to get worn out and loose after a while. I've seen this happen on 3 machines. I don't know much about the other detectors. Good luck!
