Hello.i am looking at getting a new metal detector and was wondering if I could get some help from all you knowledgeable detectorists. My budget is $1,000.i will mostly be hunting modern parks but don't want to be bound to that for latter I might hut some relics. I was thinking of getting the nokta anfibio multi and was wondering if it would be a good md for hunting modern parks with modern type trash like bottlecaps and pull tabs, is the audio response enough to tell the difference between a good target and trash, of course with some experience?

Thanks in advance, Brian...

Hi Brian, welcome to the forum. If you are new to detecting, I would go with a detector that some what ease You can get very good detectors for about 400.00. After you master it you can move up. Seen a lot of people jump in over there head, and just give up because they can"t get the hi end detector to work right. Read a lot of post, watch a lot of videos, I have been detecting for about 20 years and got a XP Deus about 3years ago and just about know what I am doing with it. Good luck with whatever you pick. flintstone

Hey Thank's, I have owned the ace 150 and the bounty hunter tracker iv, I have done my research and recently bought the equinox 800 and and loved every thing about it except I found that I could tell more audibly with my bounty hunter tracker iv, personally I think that it is more a relic machine, the two thing's that I didn't like was that bottlecaps did not give any indication that it was trash no matter how I scrubbed my coil off the front back or sides, also pulltabs and bottlecaps I'd numbers changed according to weather or not they were bent dinged or twisted and always gave solid numbers. I have pulled the trigger on the nokta infibio muli.
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Brian.

I would just use it in 14 KHz bump the gain up to 89 .. leave everything as default .. learn the tones .. Slow your sweep speed let the machine have a chance to talk to you You will also need to do the coil wiggle .. Smaller coil in trashy area helps

Take a look at the Racer 2. Very easy to use, lots of coil options, and backed by Makro’s great customer service.

I used a Bounty Hunter for years, great little machine. I have the Multi Kruzer and love it more everyday. It seems to break down to a more compact size that lets me put it in my backpack when I ride my scoots. I found 2 silver rings n a silver dime this morning.
