Help me identify cut copper

Atomp114

New member
Hey everyone I am new to the forum. I dug what appears to be a cut copper, but I’m not sure what kind it is. In the first picture you can see what appears to be lady liberty’s hair but I can’t match it up with anything. Maybe it’s older? Any help would be great I am itching to find out what coin this was. It feels heavy and it is not flaky it rang up like silver but it shows oxidation (and it’s also brown lol) so I think it’s a copper someone cut.

Thus the old saying “bits” was born. “2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits, a Dollar”. That was of course for a different coin but the principle is the same…….I’m thinking they would barter for fractions of the coins value.
