The ace took a beating today the armrest finally broke right off i"v been gluing the cracks for 6 months now i"ll just have to bite the bullet & buy a new one i feel quite depressed i"m going to have to part with $7 of my hard earned detecting money  .
i wont be posting as many finds as i"m starting a new job on Monday working weekdays & wont be able to go detecting as often witch sucks owell that's it from me.

Had a play with the franc coin on the electrolysis unit cleaned up nice just could"nt get rid of the pink discoloration

It's just as well you have started a new job, as that will take your mind off your broken detector!
It's always nice to find unusual currency. Good luck with the new job.

Thanks Mick i love finding coins from overseas i"m starting to get a good collection. yeah it sucks having a broken detector but i have been putting off buying a new armrest for 6 months i"ll buy a rain cover to, been wanting one for a wile now.

Until the new one shows up you can always flip the arm-rest over and use the other side..

Nice finds. Why don't you check and see if Garrett will fix your tector or did you wreck it yourself. If it was a manufacturing defect Garrett should cover it.

I know you would want the real thing, but you could get some thin walled P.V.C. and make it fit. You can also heat it and shape it anyway you want.

Bill no it was"nt a manufacturing fault i just flog the ace i"v got a fast swing & it gets knocked around under the play equipment actual it"s had a few bad drops & a swim in a lake so it"s hard to kill.

Thanks John i"m always fixing stuff up at home it"s fun & it saves money ( witch is important to a bloke with 4 kids ) i might give it a go.

folk out a few more $$$ for a alloy tesoro arm cup sure wont break in hurry , get em off ebay US , you done well in the lots  rrrrrr no more lazy .....bummer work on Monday  good luck with the new job !
