Here in the so az desert the ground gets so that I have dug a little hole, poured water in, dug some more, repeated it and then get the target. This is, of course, only in old coin producing areas. Good luck wherever you are, Steve in so az
 
Although there has been some rain here in my area of MO, my lawn is really turning brown and we need a long, slow soaking rain to revive from the heat destroying our greenery! I haven't been out to detect at all, but I am sure it is very dry in most places to be digging for the coins and other goodies! I always liked to hunt in November because we usually had rain with moister soil and the weather was cooler and same thing in early Spring!! May God Bless with rain and cooler weather!
