Help needed on 4 pin waterproof connector

straker

Active member
I need to probe the minds of individuals who know anything about the vintage 4 pin connectors that served a dual purpose...on board battery charging and headphone connector. These were used on the Teknetics S/T and Garrett AT4 Beach Hunter.
I bought a real nice AT4 recently and it didn't come with either the charger or headphones.
There is an individual that I am in communication with that might be able to make a headphone adapter.
I used a speaker from a Garrett GTAX 500 as a tester and I got audio when I connected 2 of the 4 pins.
Can you guess which 2 pins? I had to guess as there is epoxy sealing in the wires on the reverse side.

Thanks for the link to the Ikelite 5 pin connector, but I found a source in Russian that can help me with my existing 4 pin connector. That way I don't have to do any modifications. I really thought about using that 5 pin connector and removing the middle pin. However, thanks to a member on this website...I won't have to.

russian is my native. can you give a link on this guy? still there is good simple way to remake ordinary connector to waterproof
but you have to change both male and female ones.

Here is how I got audio. I didn't have much to work with. The connector inside the control box is filled with epoxy and I didn't want to mess with it.

this guy shows how mod ordinary connector on waterproof

I am not going to use this under water. Only a land machine for inclement weather use. No submersing, just wading.
