Help!!! Where to go for Mother's Day

My wife just told me that she wants to dry land hunt up in our local mountains, maybe in a field or in a stream on Mother's Day. My problem is that we are strictly beach hunters, I have no idea where to go. We live in West Los Angeles, if anyone has any suggestions as to where we could go for the day I'd really appreciate it.

bring two glasses, a bottle of wine, some small sandwich's & fruit and find a quiet place near the stream to enjoy the day
