A friend of mine found a token. It is octagonal (8 sides) and the size of a nickel. On one side it says "Fatty's" and the other side it says "Good for 5c In Trade At Bar" Obviously, Fatty's is a bar.
It is copper colored. Wish I had a pic to send.
The reason he is excited about it is because he found it in the same field where so far he has found 2 post colonial coppers, dating to the late 1700's and 3 English flat buttons. So this token might be very old.
This is in upstate New York near Palmyra NY where some of these towns were established in the late 1700's.
