I was at may parents house and found this button. Does anybody know how old it is? My parents house was built in the 1880's and is in their towns historical society. It was down about 7 or 8 inches by a big maple tree in the back yard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen this one before, and might even have one!
It is not a US button.

Yea, i figured it was a British or Spanish or maybe button. My parents lived there for 9 years, and the owner claimed to live there for 50 years. She was never married and had no kids. So I think it is older than 60 years because it was in the backyard and so deep in the ground. The back of the button is gone, totally rotted away.

i bieleve its british and that is the seal of the queen victoria. i have a holden race shirt from australia and thier logo looks very similar to that one. thats just my guess.

What year was Queen Victoria in power???

n/t

It is from the 1900's and it is a blazer button, more modern than it looks. That is why the back is gone. Still a neat find! :)

Nice find but have no idea unless the letters on the button are German, as I can see the last pat looks like it spells wien! :)

God Bless!
