Help with lamp finial ?

copper kidd

New member
Hi I'm new to this forum as well as new to the metal detecting hobby. This is my second year detecting. I found this lamp finial where there was a house in the late 1800's , where it is farm field now. I believe it is brass or copper and has a 1/8 inch thread in the bottom of it. I tried searching the net for information but really haven't found what I'm after. I would like to know about what year it may be and what style or make of lamp, whether electric or oil etc. The size is about 3x3 inches.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks and keep digging
CK
