HELP WITH SE SETTINGS

HELLO ALL....I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME WITH MY SETTINGS FOR MY NEW SE. I AM NEW TO MINELAB ALLTOGETHER AND HAVE NO CLUE WHERE TO BEGIN. IS THERE A SETTING JUST FOR SILVER COINS? GOLD?? ETC?? THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP. HAPPY HUNTING

well they say to go with the factory setting at 1st till you get used to it , i got an se in march . after about a month , i went to all metal, iron mask on , manual sens, at 25 or more unless it gets too jumpy, ferrous sounds ,threshold sound so you can just hear it . you will get use to all the signals you get in all metal, and you will be able to pick out the good tones , i use smartfind , and i use the cursor and the numbers as a reference mostly , i rely on my ears a nd what the machine is telli g me , go slow and be patient and good luck

And the information that Daveo has supplied is what I find most of our users do best with...........

There are a few settings that I would do differently........but that is just me.

Threshold..........I don't want to hear it. Why...it is distracting. I really serves no purpose, but to let you know that something is disc'ed out and that your headphones are working.........
Varibility..........Max
Gain.........Like mine a little higher, but if I have a lot of falsing I reduce it a little.

These are just a few of the different setting I have from others.
