Make sure you download the ebook at the top of this forum and when confused just ask the forum, there are lots of experienced diggers here and most love helping.

When I first got my xterra I hated it. It was just so different than any other detector I had used. Now I would not take anything for it. I find things all the time that other detectors have missed. Just go slow and be very patient and you will learn it. Read the faq faq post and Randy's ebook.
