Be glad you don't live in AK. They have been calling for snow snow here for the last couple of days. But not yet, yay. I am in no hurry.

Well, Mr. Smarty Pants, I'll have you know that we are becoming quite good at navigating snowy conditions...our last two winters have been much worse than normal. Didn't have that many days last winter without snow on the ground and you KNOW our road departments aren't equipped to handle that, so our roads just don't get cleared. :surprised::surrender: I have to admit that I love it. I grew up VERY sheltered and my parents never let me do anything on my own....were always afraid something would happen to their baby (which I do get). After getting married, I had to start fending for my own because Travis goes to work super early. I had to learn...lol. Bring on the snow I say ;) For the first time in my adult life, I can stay safe in our comfy, warm home and not have to go to work! Woohoo!

I am not looking forward to frozen ground that is for sure. But last year I relic hunted all winter long.

I had too many years of far north or high altitude western cold. These days I lock up at 45. Tropics and sub tropics for me thank you Lord!

You said that 4 letter word!!!:nono::crazy:

Are you in AK?

Well, that's a possibility! But you have to understand that it usually doesn't JUST snow here. Ours almost always starts out as freezing rain so that we get a good solid layer of ice on the roads BEFORE the snow comes. Driving on ice isn't quite the same as snow alone, plus we don't have anyone going up and down the roads clearing the way for us with plows. It would help if we were equipped to handle ice & snow, but we aren't. Our road departments don't spend millions of dollars on equipment that they might use for a couple of days every few years. However, last winter we had several little snows here! And I loved it! We even had a white Christmas!

Same here, Lisa. Elizabethtown and North always get snow only and South of E-town (where we live) gets a horrible wintry mix. Freezing rain, sleet, snow....you name it. Makes things a bit more difficult!
