i have been looking for you tube videos of air tests with 3 khz coil , havent found one yet can you give me adress if you know one thanks

Sorry. Don't know of any.
Air tests are pretty useless anyway. They may give a general indication of what the TID will read on a given shallow target, but aren't a good incator of depth capability at all.

Just like bench testing a fish finder, the correct media is not under the tranmitter coil and it won't be exactly the same.

That's a really good analogy. If I had a 3 kHz coil I would attempt a u-tube video though. Not an air test, but an actual in the field test with a 3k pitted against a MF and HF. Seems like it would be relatively easy to put something like that together in a test bed. Would take some time to run a coil, record and then change coils, but would be interesting to see the results. Maybe I'll get a 3k for Christmas!
