I am really new. Never even touched a metal detector. I am looking to buy a Ace250 to learn with. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreiceated. I plan to hunt coins, jewlrey, and cache:csflag:s.:garrett:

I think that would be a good choice to start with. Don't let the TID make ya lazy though!! Watch the video that comes with it and follow the examples. FILL YER HOLES!!!!!!!! And most importantly have fun. Best of luck to ya.

I was a newbie less than a year ago.

There are a lot of fine people on this forum who have helped me, and they will help you too.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, no question is too stupid. We've all been there.

Don't get discouraged when treasure doesn't jump out of the ground for you. There is no getting around the learning curve, accept that and try to learn as much as you can from the gurus on this forum.

I think you're making a good choice with the Ace 250.

I've put down the color (I really don't like yellow), but those who have the Ace pretty much agree that it gives you a lot of detector for the money.

And just in case you decide metal detecting isn't for you, the Ace has really good resale value so you can get most of your investment back.

And like R-n-R said, fill your holes and respect the hobby - follow the metal detectorist's code of ethics.

And most importantly, it's a hobby not a job so have fun!

Ace 250 first good choice:thumbup:

look back through all the great posts on this forum about the ACE250 it"s really amazing how much info's there :nerd:.
