Don't know the metallic content of this item; and I am guessing that it is a toy..maybe to a doll house.. I like it because I never saw anything like it before..and I'm sure that it is very old.....a relic from those old cottages

this is the reverse side...pattern appears to be a "fleur de lis"; and yup..that's glue you see on the right hand appendage.I was curious to find out if the metal was sturdy ; found out real quickly that it was not sturdy at all......when will I ever learn to leave well enough alone...I ruined an antique
