we took tonight . the first one is an old school I have hunted. The second one is a creek we like to go to and the third one is my metal detecting buddy. You can see his his and I shadow picture on my wifes post. My little girl calls him psycho zane. She had a beagle she called psycho and when we got our doberman from the pound his name was zane and she wanted to call him psycho.

That school has been pounded to death by alot of detectors , and I still managed a 1919 mercury and a 1906 indian penny a few weeks ago. It still has the ole teaching stage in it.

I found a halve of a arrow head not far from that gravel bar today. And i found my indian in front of that school down the hill.

hunt that school super, super slow, and dig anything above iron that beeps. I have hunted many old schools that were "hunted out" and they still gave up some goods that other people wrote off as deep junk

Hey you can not take credit for that school picture I took that.

I have hunted that thing hard for years Goes4ever . It is covered in tin off the roof. I have only hunted it once with the 70 though and I will go back. Slow is the key there for sure.

Nice pics.......yes the old school looks like a good place to detect slow and easy........hh.....Dan

Great pictures! Love that old school! Lots of creeks here too. Does it go dry in the summer?

Lisa

Nice pics 7cents & Liz! Sure like the one of the old school house! Yes, if I were you, I would detect there with different detectors if you have more than one and go slow by going often! Of course, back in those days, people didn't have very much money to lose, but what you will find should be very good coins &/or relics! May God Bless and keep the faith in Jesus and He will guide and direct your footsteps, daily! Amen! Ma Betty

I have never seen that creek go dry Lisa. Most of our creeks never go dry , some come close but they don't give up.

Hey Travis, do you have springs flowing into your creeks where you live, because on the farm and our creek, it never ran dry either where we lived as it was spring-fed and very cold in the places where it had the spring-water flowing into it! We had bluff areas too! Not high ones but along the river banks we did have some down in the water along the banks! One was Cliff's and my swimming hole....had enough deeper water for swimming but not for diving off the bank! Was refreshing to our bodies when we were hot, dirty and sweaty from helping on the farm! ;) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

We had a spring that bubbles up inside a large tile and it was COLD....put your arm in there and it wasn't long until it was numb! We had a springbox that the water ran through to keep our milk, butter and etc. cold, as we didn't have a frig back then! The Rural Electric didn't come through until the 50's and I left home in 1953 after graduating High School! Now, those were the good ole days!  May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
