Here is a picture of my 201 Silver coins for 2009

I finnally got a round too taking a picture of my coins. The first 100 or so were found using the X-50 and the rest with the X-505. also I was using the
10.5 DD MF coil.

9 WLDH's, most of those were found in older ball fields

6 Barber Q's

3 SLQ's

16 Washington Q's

3 Seated Dimes

24 Barber Dimes

85 Merc's

55 rosie's

Hi Jim,

A round here the ground is a lil on the hot side. It's normal for me to see GB numbers in the teen's and the DD type coil is better suited for my type of ground so I feel that I get better depth with the DD coil over the stock concentic coil. Also a lot of places that I go to are loaded with pieces of iron and the DD deals with those types of places a lot better. At least I feel it does, lol. Most old coins around here are in the 4" to 7" range, but I have been to a few places that I have dug IH's and silver dimes as deep as 10" to even 12" deep and with the type of ground that I have around here I don't think that the concentric coil would be able to go that deep.

Thanks for the info --- I don't think I have ever dug a silver dime or IH over 7 inches deep, at least not up my way --- either that or they are out of the range of my detector. Jim

That makes for a good pic. Been a good year for many of us. Me not in the coin count, but in the new hobby and the reasonable amount of time it took me to learn my machine.

TURNMASTER, Yep, a lot of us has had a good year with the help of everyone on this forum. The more you learn about what your MD'er is telling you, the easier it is to find what your looking for.
