Here is my finds from yesterday again.

Here is what I found at one of my sites on Wednesday. Got a tip from 8-reale that a particular spot of ours was in the process of being dug up. Tried the dug up area only on the sides due to having a good rain the day before so I am not sure what is out in that sticky mud yet. I only found a Toy Key,Toy Camaro Car,and a 1991-d Kennedy Half by this area. I found the rest of the finds in the area that wasn't dug up and we have done well at this spot before digging at least a half roll of V-Nickels,Barber,etc. I found all this posted in about 3 Hours time. Got 6 Silver which included 1 Standing Liberty Quarter dated 1924-d that is in F/VF Condition but has to be Electrolysis with the other 5 Silver I found. 2 Barber Dimes dated 1905 and 1913 (1913 has Full Liberty and Headband), 1 Canadian Dime dated 1918, and 2 Mercury Dimes dated 1927 and 1936-d. I found before mentioned 1 Kennedy Half dated 1991-d. I found yet another Token that says Good For 5c In Merchandise on the front and I still have to clean up the back to see what it says for town name and what from. I found 2 Really Bad Indian Head Pennies dated 1901 and 1903 and another 10 Wheats dated No Date,1916,1919,1924,1926-d,1929-s,1934,1936-d,1937-d, and 1938. I am going to repost the silver finds after I get them cleaned and I am hoping with a little luck that they will turn out ok. Good Luck and HH on your next adventures out.

be worth just as much as Gold and sometimes worth even more. I see you have found a good spot to retrieve some nice Jewelery Finds as well as old Coins now and I wish you all the luck on finding some Key Date Coins. Just wait till you find your first Barber Half or Silver Dollar, then you will be hooked to the Coins aspect too. Good Luck and HH.

They cleaned up pretty good but I might just try zapping them again to see if I can't get the rest of the crud off of them. I didn't do the Token and that is the way it cleaned up with a soft brissle Brass brush. [attachment 31586 SilverandToken.jpg]

So far for the year I must have around $200 in clad coinage from detecting. I have yet to try my Digital Camera so if I get time I will try and figure it out on how to post a pic of my clad. I have been using my scanner for all my finds so I can't promise anything. But mainly when I am at an old site I am with a buddy and every time I come across a new coin on top of the ground I usually will just pass it up since my detecting partner is only after the old stuff so I have a limited time to recover what I can at these sites. Now if I am bored and I am not finding much of anything, then I will dig the clad just to add to the total at home. But for the most part, I only go for the old coins. Some of the spots I have been at, it would take weeks just to dig all the new coins since there is so much of it and so little time to find the old stuff so I leave it for next time when I come back so I have something to dig while looking for the fewer old coins taken from the site.
