Here some pictures that we just took of the fire.

These pictures were taken in northern Colorado Springs looking towards Pikes Peak and the Waldo Canyon area. The USAF is just to the north of where these were taken.

The estimates so far are that it has now burned 1000 acres. No actual reports yet as it is 0% contained and is burning in several different head or finger areas. The majority of the area that this fire is burning in is unoccupied. To the west of the fire is the Pikes Peak region and to the east is populated but the way the wind has been blowing it has actually burned away from some of the more populated areas. No structures have been burned to this point but over 200 homes are threatened and many areas have been evacuated....

Again, there is no report of how this fire started, just me speculating that it may have been set. I really hope that is not the case but there has been reports of an arsonist in Teller County that has set several smaller fires and this person has not been caught as of yet. And Teller County is just not that far away from where this fire first started.
