I lived in Iowa all my life,so I know about storms and tornados.I feel for you people up in the midwest.
Here in AZ, the only warnings we have are about the SUN(heat or keeping covered) and flash floods during the monsoon season.Also,now and then there is a wind advisory for blowing dust.Take care.

ya it seems as though we have it lucky out here. like waterbug said our severe weather dosnt seem so severe compared to what you are going through out there. will pray for your saftey. take care and stay safe.

things have changed and I think God is trying to get His people to repent and come back to Him.

I was in white lake MI during the storm on sunday. It was my cusions 9th birthday party and 4 trees fell on his house. I've never been that scared in my life. I was praying that no one would get hurt. I was the last one in the basement, and a tree fell right behind me as i was running in. Landed directly above me on the deck. God was truely watching out for me that day.

I listen to a police scanner...it doesn't pick up the police any more but it does pick up the fire department. They had tornado spotters - I can pick them up too. I can hear the central dispatch for the fire departments and occassionally police. I have also a weather alert scanner for NOAA/National Weather Service that goes off when there is an alert. Problem here with that radio is we are on the fringe of all the NOAA/NWS radio stations just as we are for good Christian radio stations...everything fades in and out...not a good thing when trying to be alerted to a tornado.

We live in a mobile home - 100+ feet above the lake with trees all around...we don't see the skyline or clouds...until the clouds are on top of us. I stayed up almost all night caring for our pets and so my wife could get some sleep so she could go to work this morning. She finally went to sleep around 3:00 am.

Looks like more is coming our way from Indiana/Illinois way.

My prayers are with you, Pete, and all the others who are in the storms and tornadoes areas! We have more rain today and still looks like we will have some more! I mowed the back yard yesterday and glad I did because I sure couldn't today! The flooding is really bad and headed our way by the Missouri River and also the Mississippi......States north of MO have flooding above the flood stage levels and that is terrible...with houses covered by water or washed away! Yes! I believe we are getting a wake up call to start living right and doing God's will! :sad:

Just read about a man getting arrested for selling body parts and tissue from dead people! One woman rec a dental and tissue implant and is really upset over it! Some funeral parlors were even involved and disrespecting the dead and being greedy for money from the living! Really a lot of sinfulness and macambre stuff going on! No wonder God has taken His protection off our nation, but He is still protecting His faithful saints! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus!
