Here's a video I did to show the attributes of an excellent designed DD coil on the MXT-PRO

by much maybe a couple of ounces if that?..the depth of both are pretty close with a slight edge to the 10x12...and the 10x12 sees through mineral better if that is needed...

so if you can handle a little more weight?? I would opt for the 10x12.....

also separation is about the same on both ....

Just form what I have seen here...

[size=large]thanks for the info. i think i have enough weight already. i endure the D2 and the DX-1. any more and it'll be over my ability to handle very long. so far i'm really enjoying the D2

Personally, I thought that was an awesome demonstration!! The dirt I hunt in is GA. RED CLAY that looks 'bout the same color as that brick! You bet that influenced my near future buying decisions! Todd @ White's told me TODAY he's heard great things about these coils & never heard anything bad! Was he endorsing them? Obviously he can't do that but he sure didn't poo poo them either! Thanks Keith for the demonstration!! :pulltab:

the sef will hit deeper targets but I like it most for being closer to the right vdi when the target gets deep. both coils seperate good but I can run the MXT gain wide open with the sef and I cant on the 6x10 because of to much breaking up. Said that I like them both better than the big 12 coil I got with the machine. I have the 9.5 and I love this coil also in the sweet ground, Its one of whites all time best overall. IMHO. but the video dont lie that started this thread, I dont the same test here with a old red clay brick that is 3.5 inches thick and is hot. Lee
