My guess is a printing plate. But there is no writing on it (it would be reversed) But look at the flags...You almost always see them waving to the right. If you reverse it they would be waving to the right. It has some type of fabric or something attached to the back. If you look closely, you can see a face in the middle. It almost looks like a carnival scene or something. What do ya'll think? Am I in the ball park?

I put some baby powder on it to bring out the detail, but I had to take a digital pic instead of scanning. The file was huge and I lost some quality resizing it. Anyway, you get the general idea

I wet the piece and then put baby powder on it I put a blank transparency on the scanner and I got a lot more detail. I see what looks like a pennant that appears to have "HHS" (written in reverse). It was found in Hickory, NC. I'm thinking possibly Hickory High School - built around 1915. I can see a clock in the backgorund (it's 20 till 12:00) In the lower left corner of the stand is a large coffee type cup and beside it is a case with what looks like jewelry in it. To the left of the flowers you can see two faces. The one on the right looks like me! That's pretty spooky!

Clever thing you did with the baby powder.

I'm not sure what this thing is made of,however if it is made of stone, could it be the etching they use for a lithograph painting? What do you think?
