Found this last week at an 1880's site. I'm sure it's an ornament for something as it's the same on both sides. It's 2.25 inches tall and has a place on the bottom to screw it on something. Lots of stuff like this found, if you ID all of it Steve you're gonna be busy <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">.

It's about the right size but it's made from brass. That may be what they were made of in the 1880's though <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">.
