I couldn't believe the variety....I'm a Rev War hunter, so I know nothing about Civil War projectiles.

Top row left to right: appears to be a stepped on Enfield. Sharps Carbine. Enfield (appears import). #4 I would have to examine closer. #5; now this could be interesting. I believe you have a Billinghurst Requa Battery projectile. Note the four grooves. Should be .537 in diameter (.54 cal). Weigh around 367 grains. Solid base. That would be your best find if so. Bottom row: .69 round ball, same. Williams Regulation projectile. Commonly called "Pistol Carbine." Good hunting, David @ Dixie

Even if it's not the news I wanted to hear on the Florida plate. You are one of the reasons I like this forum. It's great to have someone who's a Civil War expert help identify some of the relics! My knowledge of Civil War relics is lacking. I kinda knew the Florida plate was a DLR (didn't look right). <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry"> ....Paul

That's a great plate. I would most likely have it restored. Glad to help on the bullets. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
