Here's the results from this past weekend. Enjoy!

I'm just glad I didn't use my Brass Probe like I usually do for Shallow Coins, or it would have had another scratch in her. Can't beat finding a Seated Quarter almost on top of the ground. Thanks for the reply and Good Luck and HH to you Mike.

enough Positive Thinking going on. That's the Key in going out and having a Goal. No matter how the day is going on finds, you must always have that Positive Thought in the back of your mind that your going to find Seated, Barber, or what ever you are looking for. At least it works for me most of the time. Positive Thinking = Positive Results! Better Luck Next Time Great Republic. Good Luck and HH on your next adventure out.;)

Many years ago I used to probe the shallow coins, but after nailing 2 seated dimes and a barber quarter, all less than 2 inches deep, I learned to treat every signal as potentially valuable. Now with the X-1 probe for the Explorer, I very rarely hit a coin. HH, Mike.

I've hit a few Barber Coins that were shallow with my Brass Probe, and let me tell you, there is nothing worse than seeing a Barber or any other Old Coin with a scratch in it because of the initial thought that it was just a Clad Coin and you didn't have to be careful since it was just pocket change. I try and be careful now because you never know just where you will find an Old Coin. The X-1 Probe works great in retrieving Coins that most others would damage without use of a Probe. Good Luck and HH to you Mike.:detecting:
