My local river is high due to the snow-melt in the mountains, so I put in a good weekend looking for coins.

I believe USA is thinking of switching clad to nickel plate over steel to save a lot of money at the mint. I hope not for your sake. They rot like the zinc pennies did and really look gross.

I am planning to purchase another nugget this year with all my clad. Gold coins have got up so much in price that they are out of my league. Here's a pic of last year's nugget I purchased.

I did get out for a short prospecting trip today. The river started rising as I was digging gravel, so I packed up my stuff to stay safe.
