Here's what you need to go detecting on - a bicycle that does 100 MPH.

Just as well it's not a VLF bike 'cause if the pedal rotations were of a Very Low Frequency, then it would a very slow ride indeed!
Actually; back in 79 (I used to race push bikes back then) I went on an endurance ride with a cycling organisation that had to be called off due to extreme wind conditions. with wind gusts of a 110kph (70 mph) I rode down a major road in Sydney with the wind behind me and I reached speeds that the bike in the picture would be capable of! I must have been maintaining a speed of around 75kph! as only 3 cars went past me over a 10km stretch of road. there were plenty of cars on the road. Mind you, when it was a cross wind, I got blown 20m off the road and could do nothing about it. Fortunately, it was an unpopulated part of the road. Leaning out of corners felt pretty bizarre too.
Mick Evans.
