Thank you! Here's the new version again.
I'm thankful for the turkey
and the gift cards simply sweet
Home baked cookies so delicious
and wrapped presents by the tree
The plant that's quite exotic
which will soon grow in the yard
Plus the pictures which were taken
made for sharing from afar
Though for these gifts I'm thankful
what really makes me smile
Its the thought of baby Moses
saved by floating down the Nile
For in his life he taught us
all our Fathers love and laws
and foretold of Jesus coming
just to save us all
So though I like the gifts
the fun and Christmas tree
good food and all the presents
a love filled family
The thing that I'm most thankful for
Is something huge indeed
It's that Jesus died upon a cross
To make a way for me
The road to see my Father
The one who is all Love
Who sent his only Son
From Heaven high above
To take the sins of people
mere believers yes we are
for only through our Savior
Eternal life with God is ours.
