Hurricane Florence is forecast to hit our little island in 48 hrs. The current track shows a perfect bullseye on these 23 sq mi in the middle of the Atlantic. 100+ mile an hour winds for a 24 hour period are forecast so major damage to property is expected, hopefully no lives will be lost this time. Hurricane Fabian took a few islanders with it when it came through 3 years ago and nobody wants a repeat performance of that nasty experience.
The Princess and I are well prepared and my hotel site is as secure as I can make it so now it is a question of wait and see.
The beaches should be well scoured after Florence is done with us so I expect some good hunting if I can find the time with all the rebuilding ahead.

The Princess and I really appreciate the support. Everything that can be done to prepare has been done, now it's just a question of waiting until it hits. The airport has been closed so there is no turning back now.
I'm pretty confident that everything will be fine but there is always an element of doubt. Your support is greatly appreciated!

I took a little spin around my beach today just to make sure that nothing had changed. Found a few targets but nothing outstanding. We'll see what comes up after I hunt the same beach post hurricane.
