Hi Rick, Thanks it will be back up soon. My server was hacked. I will have to reinstall everything. I should have it up later this week.

Until then how about this image I took this a few years ago. One of my favorite "group" shots.

This is a digitally scanned wet plate glass negative. Scanned on my Epson 4990.

By the way, I just made a call earlier today to try to get permission to relic hunt this old house site.

Sorry about that. Here is a simple explanation.

In plain terms I do Civil War Era photography, I use original lenses, reproduction and original cameras.

I carry a portable darkroom with me and develop glass negatives, ambrotypes (pictures on glass) and tintypes on the spot.

Here is picture of me and my biggest camera. It takes 18x22 inch negatives. My tent darkroom is on the left side of the picture. This was done in Yosemite in 2003.

Thanks for sharing that Bob. I was wondering about you when Rick was giving you high compliments. Was wondering what was up. Thanks for the explanation. When you get your website up please post that it's running.

Thanks for coming by too. Perfect site for the kind of things you're doing since we're all about finding old stuff.

Guvner..
