So...I was minding my own business detecting in my favorite area ...old pier, stones, rocks, pebbles...
and this gentleman approaches me and informs me that he has been taking photos of me
and he says to me:
" I'm from the local newspaper and I'd like to submit a photo of you detecting"
to which I replied:
"I already had my photo in the newspaper last summer"
to which he replied ( he must have been desperate to meet a deadline )..
"But could I please submit a photo anyway...what is your name?"
..
Well, I took pity on the guy and so I said "OK just as long as it is a photo from a distance"..( what he didn't know was that I had found only 12 golf balls , a few pop tops and some can slaw..and I had stuffed the golf balls inside my sweat shirt and it looked like my rib cage had the mumps!
).
Any way good thing he didn't ask me what I had found....would have been embarrassing to admit to the above findings of the day.
So later in the week , there it was in the local newspaper...
