Hey Folks - Haven't Been Around For A Few Days

Bright and early this morning I went to the Lemmon Cancer Center for a cat scan. Yesterday found me in the Spectrum/Butterworth Hospital for seven hours. Last week Saturday I was in Spectrum/Butterworth for four and a half hours and a week before that I came down with bronchitis. Welcome to my world! So I haven't been around for a few days to see all your smiley faces. It doesn't look as if I've missed much though. I thank you all for your prayers of support.

Praying for you, Martin, to be feeling a lot better and can stay away from the hospital....as I'm sure those tests and scans aren't fun and I'm sure ya rather be out if the weather would co-operate! I have bronchitis, also, especially, when I awake and rise up from my bed! Coughing and sneezing, I greet each day and thank God that I am able to be alive a little longer! Really tired and only got about 6 hours sleep again and me body does not feel rested! I could have gone back to bed, but didn't...since I was up, I just stayed up and now I'm draggin' my tail behind me! :sad: Ma Betty

MaBetty, You likely have medication that your doctor has prescribed for your bronchitis but, if by chance he or she has not, Echinacea w/Goldenseal works extremely well for such bugs, unless you happen to be an ex-cancer patient, like myself, with a weakened immune system. Thanks Martin for your info....During my last visit my dr prescribed Fish Oil and I take vitamin D when I have it but haven't been to the pharmacy for either nor my breathing med! I also take Vitamin C and Centrum Silver! As long as I use my Nebulizer twice a day, I keep most of my Bronchits and etc. under control....just have not had it lately but am taking Zycam cough syrup...both kinds for daytime and nighttime! Did get a pamphlet in the mail from United Health Care and starting 1-1-11 they have PrescriptionSolutions Mail Order Pharmacy! $2.00 to $4.00 for a 90--day supply on many drugs, so will be checking into it, as they are my Medical Provider! I hope they won't charge too much for the higher tiers on my medical chart and then I can get all my meds on time and not run out like I do now....because I don't get out very much! The winter Cliff came up from FL and stayed with me....I had a very bad case of deep Bronchitis with a terrible cough and he made me hot toddys with what liquor he had and that took care of me and I didn't have to visit the dr. A little wine for the stomach ya know, so though I don't like nor drink alcoholic beverages, they do help with colds and such! :;angel: Ma Betty

Thank God for Obama Care! before my wife had to call in for her meds and they would say she has to get her Doc to
refill the perscriptions, now they call her and tell her her meds are ready for pick-up.
I asked them after this happened a few times, why they are filling the persciptions out for her?
The answer was its part of the new Health care program.

Some parts are good but most aren't....and I hope you remember this when all of it starts happening in a year or two unless repealed by the new Congress and redone with lots of it deleted! My pharmacy refills my prescrips as long as there was written refill so many times on them and then they called the dr....unless he wrote new ones for me during office visits! It has been judged that having to buy or pay a fine when not having ins is unconstitutional and most likely will not be passed! If you think our gov't is by the people and for the people ya need to read and rethink things, as our gov't doesn't listen to the people at all or they wouldn't have passed Obamacare and they didn't even read it before passing.....which is rediculous!!! May God Bless and hope you still like the way our gov't and nation is headed in the future because right now I DO NOT! Amen! Ma Betty
