How long once you set the initial charge does it take to be full? The manual says to charge your battery initially 18hrs to set the charge but after that? I cant imagine that you have to charge this puppy 18 hours every time. LOL. How long does it take you on average to fill the battery ?

Hey guys...The Etrac battery?

They say this kind of battery doesn't develope a "memory" like nicads, so I always throw the battery on the charger the evening before and charge it till morning. I never pay any attention to the charge indicater on the machine, when it goes dead it goes dead. I've been using the rechargeable battery for 15 months with this etrac, and used the rechargeable that came with my XS for 8-9 years with no problems with either battery. Maybe i was just lucky, but haven't had problems with them. Good luck.

Does the red light go out when it is fully charged?
