How about everyone share a fond Christmas memory from when you was a kid! Maybe a tradition, or a memorable Christmas gift, etc...???
Come on now I can't wait to hear about those things that happened so long ago when you woke up in the cave that morning and cave Santa had came and left you a club or rock! just kidding! Let's hear about those special times! :)

I remember back in 1969 when I was about 6 years old. My mother and I were at home and she was playing a Bing Crosby Christmas album (yes an actual album not a tape or CD). We were living in Longmont, Colorado at the time and it was the day before Christmas. Bing was singing White Christmas and it was starting to get dark outside. I remember looking out the front window and seeing all this white fluffy snow coming down. Next to me was the the Christmas tree with all the lights on, and tinsel hanging off the limbs. I remember mom baking chocolate chip cookies (for Santa of course) in the kitchen and that wonderful smell of the fresh baked cookies. I sat there for hours just enjoying what was going on and feeling this great feeling of love and joy. That is what comes back in my mind as what I love about Christmas. When I think of Christmas I just think of that specific time when I was 6. That was when I really felt the Christmas spirit for the first time.

Thinking back now, I wish that life was the simple again. Nothing to worry about, and looking at life through a 6 years eyes, I do miss those times. I now enjoy the time with my own children and hope that someday they can look back at the times they had and think of the precious memories that they hold dear to their heart.

This is the only photo and only memory. The kid in the striped shirt was me. My older brother is wearing the Daniel Boone shirt. The robot is his.

a fond memory as an adult?

other than the help given our family last year by detecting Brothers and Sisters in Christ there is no fond memories. Thank you for your love everyone for the wonderful help you gave last year.

I have one of our other cat in the tree playing with the ornaments. Can't find it though.

I remember one Christmas when I was about 12 years old. I got a Daisy BB gun. My friend Benny got an electric train set. It was a passenger train, American Flyer I think, and the passenger cars all lighted up and had images on the windows so it looked like you could see passengers sitting in the seats. It made a nice moving target and Benny and I used the BB gun to shoot out all the windows. :--)
