Hey I saw on the Garrett User forum that an ACE 250 beat out a DFX...

too many variables involved to say the one machine is better than the other. I recall one time going out detecting...and I had a Garrett...at a detecting club seeded hunt. EVERYBODY'S detector was better than mine. I found nothing. So that makes everyone else's better right if they found something I didn't?? Wasn't till this frustrated old man got home before he realized there was a loose terminal on the 9V battery clip. Had tried a couple brand new batteries thinking the battery had gone dead. Fixed the terminal at home and the machine worked great.

Like I say, someone finding something and the other person finds nothing doesn't necessarily mean his machine is better than someone else's.

I used the above topic line to get the gentleman looking to buy a new detector a bit of a shock to think a $250 detector could out-do a DFX. (Maybe under some circumstances it might but in this case - nah).
