Thanks. My friend and I were discussing the quality of pictures taken with camera phones and color vs black and white. We were comparing our phones/cameras and I took a picture of myself with her phone and then she took one of me herself. They turned out decent so I just decided to add one to my avatar pool. Here's the one I took of myself.......

Thank you Ma. You just aren't able to see all the fine lines and wrinkles that are beginning to show up! THAT's why I like these pictures! Ha! I sure don't consider myself old at age 45 (46 in September) but signs of the aging process are showing up much faster than I want them to! And still being out of commission due to this knee injury isn't helping my battle against the "middle age spread." I feel like I'm gaining about five pounds a day since I'm not able to walk and hike like I'm used to doing, and I've been eating like a horse! I've pushed myself to take a couple of gimpy walks this week but it was TOUGH! Anyway, thank you for your kind words.

45? that is mighty hard to believe! I honestly guessed from the picture you were 30-32 Y.O. and no I am not joking. :thumbup:
 
Gee thanks! I'll receive that compliment! Ha! 30-32 was quite a few years ago. Born in 1963 (I can scan and post a copy of my birth certificate - HA!) . I have a 23 year old son and a 21 year old daughter. Been married for 25 years (will be 26 in October). Y'all are just tooooo nice!

There is a lady on one of the TV shows and she looks like she's in her 40's or 50's but she is 72! Now, I can tell you I look like I am in my 70's which I am! But being raised on the farm with all the sun I was in as a youth and then metal-detecting in the sun all these years has put freckles on top of my freckles and wrinkles upon wrinkles! I never was a beauty and sure not now! Will post a pic of me as a baby and my great-granddaughter's before long and let you see that she sure didn't take her beauty from me! :lol: She is a doll, though but haven't seen her for a long time! She just had her first birthday May 2....they just keep growing and getting older! :biggrin: Lisa you are pretty but the sun can really do a work on your skin and age you faster than you want! Hiking is good for keeping the weight down, but I have given that up because of my osteo-arthritis which hurts most of the time and COPD with it hard to walk and breathe at the same time! Some days are worse than others! Yet, God is good and I keep on, keepin' on for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
