Hey mudpuppy...guess what I might be getting?

The deal is not done yet but almost and it is just too good to pass up.
A brand new F70 might be in my hands soon, and as we all know there is nothing more fun than playing with and learning new detectors.

You think I could find stuff with the F2...wait till I get my hands on this thing.
I already have a list of info in past threads about this and I am sure I will be picking your brain for tips.

A new higher end detector to learn and play with and write about.

Sheesh! You are great enough with the F2! Get the 11"dd and the thing is pretty awesome. You MAY like it, if you can learn the DP tones, its pretty killer, and hard to go back to a 4 tone machine.
I truthfully do not know all the things (settings) the 70 is capable of, I just run it soft, fast, and often!

Running mine more quiet too. Running it too hot makes pin pointing coins in the 1"-3" range impossible.

Going with a -2 thresh most of the time and adjusting sens higher into the 90's if I come across a faint but repeat signal. Unfortunatly, higher sense = throwing the ID numbers off a bit.

Good point TD. Also I find the amount of corrosion on a coin will change the ID numbers. It's cool how the 70 and elliptical coil will separate the zincolns, (which when corroded badly enough will flicker nearly up to a 75) from the pre 1984 copper. A corroded clad dime and a true copper on the other hand gets tricky but that solid, sweet sounding 75 on that silver dime in delta pitch leaves little room for doubt. I like the dual modes also since the both stay in memory when unit is turned off.
I've done some experimenting in ultra clean sights out in the woods lately with the Slow mode and even though this is a topic for another time, I will say this thing will get major deep and become a whole different animal that I have only just begun to explore. Revier, you're going to have a blast. HH-- guys

Love all the tips and love the fact you can set this thing up to hunt in so many different ways.
I will eventually try them all and I am looking forward to experimenting and writing about all the great things I will experience and learn.
