..My foreman told me the last week of August was a NO-
CAN-DO for me...SO:My original vacation time was Sept.10-14th,and THATS in stone now:Does that work for you??Just a little while ago I got on the'net and started pricing out a couple days'trip to Copper Harbor(NO,NOT to look for that Wall of Silver mine in the Keweenaw),and I calculated out with a rental car and motel gas and food I was lookin at a $400.00 bill:thumbdown::yikes:...SO:How about this:We go get wet with the Indians at that trading post that week,AND/OR hit that ballfield and dig up that stash of Double Eagles we got everybody drooling over??Since Im savin so much money by not going to the Keweenaw,I will buy lunch-WHAT DO YA THINK??Let me know-PS:I will try to read your book soon.STEVE!!!

I spent a little time at the trading post area. Didn't hit anything old except maybe some bent rod about 2 feet or so long. I did get 7 dimes and 7 pennies - modern stuff and that rod. I wonder who buried the beer can about 10 inches down...that wasn't funny. Oh yeah got my first fishing lure (that looks like a fish and 2 of the 3 hooks) down about 8 inches.

I didn't hit the water..just didn't feel like it this time.

Our anniversary plans fell apart. The guy who was to come bird sit won't be coming. We had bills come in we usually wouldn't have had and now the budget is way to tight to do much and we have a plugged sink so may have to look at getting a plumber or roto-rooter to come snake the thing. More money to go out. Tried snaking it myself with no luck. Drain cleaner isn't cleaning it. Tried plunging it and had some sand come up into the sink...maybe a broken line somewhere but thinking now that there is no broken line just someone over the years got sand in the sink and the grease built up on it over the years til now it is plugged tight.

Oh well, God will figure this out. Sept 10-14 sounds like a good time. No plans I am aware of.

..Im thinkin about puttin my topper on my truck and heading down to that private beach club for a couple days the last halh.
