Im gonna be up in West Branch on the 15th of July,in preparation for me and the wife's vacation in Presque Isle starting Saturday, the 18th-Are ya gonna be available for some:twodetecting:on Thursday the 16th;or Friday the 17th??Let me know,Steve!!BY THE WAY:If the guy thats fixing my 1280X drags his feet and doesnt get it fixed,do you know anybody in your area that would be willing to check her out??Thanks!!!!

Should be ok for the 15th..I am still out of work with a shoulder problem too. Don't know anyone up here that does electronic stuff other than maybe myself or my boss...he used to repair TVs and VCRs. Another option...if no one buys my water detector you are welcome to use it...you might find it easier to swing in the water than the 1280x. I had a 1280x and this gem is so much lighter and less drag in the water so you can swing practically all day with it. Even use my scoop if ya want as I won't be needing it.

If it is just a solder job of replacing the 9V connector I think I can do that - will know for sure once I see what ya got to work with as I don;t remember the innerds of the 1280x.

Hope you find some real goodies when ya get out.

you might try a fella in south carolina, nice honest guy to deal with.he is a fisher repairman.sorry they will not let me mention his name????
