there should be catagories........gold rings.......silver rings........platinum rings and NITRO rings!! Also how about a catagory of "most unusual find in the sand"

Sounds good, but if we bring silver into the equation, then this is going to be an enormous amount of work to keep up with. I can take it or leave it. It was my intention to not get involved with Ring Daddy this year, so if we do not do this, then I can take it or leave it, ya'll decide.
 
Personally GH I would not be involved in it.. It turns our hobby into a competition in my opinion and I will not become involved in that..
 
That way its more of a self competition like going on a diet. When a person reaches there goal some sort of banner or recognition, etc.
 
GH, I would like to see it happen and I agree it needs to be kept to a point that it doesn't create a full time job to keep it up to date. If it happens count me in, all I have to do is go find some gold to post. I like your name GOLDEN CIRCLE, but also open to here from anyone with an Ideal. I like PIRATES CHEST and I am sure there are many more suggestions out there. Thanks GH and HH.
 
I find it enjoyable to view what everyone else is finding from different areas of the country. How could we possibly compete here in CT to SOBE in Miami.....we just don't have that kind of traffic.

Bobbie don't we view each others finds now? All I know is I will not be involved in it :)

Of course we couldn't couldn't compete :) I'm happy posting my finds the way I do and love looking at everyone elses posts in the regular sections.. I don't have a need to look at a bunch of rings I have already seen and enjoyed but if others want it have fun with it :)

I believe GulfHunter asked for opinions and I'm sharing mine :)

I like to surf the posts to find out who's found what and how. Lately, I've been getting a little ho hum about the gold, unless it's a really special find. This could change but I'm quite content to post on the regular forum. It feels better doing it this way for me, just sharing my loot and stories with my fellow pirates.
