I found a lady's Black Hills Gold ring 10K with a small green stone in it. It read 130. Rick said to watch for 130-131. Not much but always fun to see gold. Thanks Rick.

Well, I reread the post and I guess the number was 140-141. Anyway, it worked.

But I bet the tone was just a little differnt wasnt it?? To me it was just a little smoother sounding on the ones I have got. This is where getting to know the Sovereign will increase your odds on gold rings.

I noticed I was picking up nickles. Another metal detectorist came by was using high discrimination had a few more clad coins. The area was a newer section of the park and not nearly so much trash.
Yes I found a lot of beaver tails, but I am learning what they sound like. It's not a smooth signal. It's almost like I can tell that the shape is not flat, but I'm still digging them for now.
