I just read in one of your replies that you've used a kazillion detectors. So which ones pop out in your mind over the years as excellent machines, and or barking dogs, not worth putting a battery into?

Garretts of course, some Tesoros, Compass ( one of my favorites ), early Fishers ( haven't tried the new ones ) a C-Scope or two, the one I started with way back when - a Metrotech. Never had much luck with Bounty Hunters. Had an early one that wouldn't find a cannon ball in a tub of oatmeal. There's probably a few I forgot. One of the best gold machines was the Tesoro Diablo ( field tested it ). You can't find a used one for love nor money as no one will part with them.
