My Great Grandfather and Grandfather were Horse and Cattle Traders. My Mom and dad ran a trading post/ Antigua shop 5 and 1/2 days a week. We close at 2 p.m. Saturday until loaded trailer and went to bed early.Dad would get us 4 boys about 3 a.m. or so all depending on witch flea market we were go to. Mom would have a break est ready for us all. Home made bread, hard fried eggs, sausage and bacon with alot of left overs. Us boys would climb in to the camper shell on the p/u for the 200 to 350 one way drive. There 4 big flea markets in TEXAS (Weatherford, Bowie, And Canteen I can't remember the four) that over a 150 years and have around 1000 dealers each one one weekend a month, so they was not on the some weekend. Back then there was new junk most of this dealer sold antique, house hold good or farm goods. We dealed only in Antique, Mostly Glassware. We had one big traveling collections in center of Texas.

Then all of us would pitch in to have the booth sit up before daylight. Mom and Dad would try to get a little sleep til first light. Eat left over breakfast sandwiches. Dad would start moving around the other dealers trader"dealing." This way we turn over stock we could not sell and bring new stock. A lot of weekend we cleared a $1000 a trip and that was back in 1966, 1967, 1968.
