Were tornadoes in the Midwest and South last night and it is way too hot here in St. Louis for this time of year and told my neighbor we need to pray that we do not have a tornado, as this kind of heat is tornado weather! Please Lord hear our prayers for us, friends and loved ones to be safe from the tornadoes and storms and be merciful to those who have already suffered from them with the destruction of their homes and etc.! Amen! Ma Betty

Root beer right! :)

All the way from the Mac bridge down to 25 miles southwest of us here in Houghton Lake. Neighbor called wanting to know where to go to take cover. I have no clue...we live in trailers (mobile homes) without basements. Only place open is Wal-mart and unless everyone squeezes into their bathrooms it isn't a safe place to be. We are just trusting God to keep us safe and if not then we will be with the Lord....so what is there to worry about?

Stormed with lightning and rain most of the night....clouldn't sleep so ended up going back to bed after 6:00 this morning and sleeping until 3:00 pm with getting up once during the time period! Praise God for inside bathroom facilities...not like when on the farm and had to get out in all kinds of weather, day or night, to use the little outdoor building....ours didn't have a half-moon carved out on the door! Now those were the good ole days but I was much younger and could handle it then...but the older folks...oh my, because now that I am in that stage of life, I know now how tough it must have been unless they had an indoor chamber pot, which most folks don't know much about these days unless campers might when out in the boondocks! May God Bless and protect you Liz and others including MO from the storms and tornadoes! Listening now to TV about where large tornadoes hit last night in Wisconsin and with the warning of others all the way down South by threatening weather today! Praying for safety and there is power in prayers and God hears and answers His faithful and righteous saints prayers! Amen! Ma Betty
