HEY YOU, SLOW DOWN!!!

I have an old park near me that is so beat out that no one even bothers to go there anymore. I answered a post earlier about a guy wanting to "upgrade" from the Etrac to the CTX. I wanted to prove something to myself that the Etrac is hard to beat so I went to this old park and went slow and STILL found some old goodies( 1943 War nickle, 1934 Wheat and several old memorials). The place is an absolute junkyard but I went so slow that I let the machine reset after every beep. I preach slow swings but realized I have been swinging too fast myself. I have been pounding that park for years and discovered this morning that there are still goodies to be had if we slow down. How many of you guys still think you swing slow enough?

I am notorious for catching myself swinging too fast and then slowing down
I think many of us are guilty of wanting to cover alot of ground and get all the goodies before anyone else finds them. This morning I went slower than I ever have....the bad hangover was probably a factor in that...and covered very little ground and found more in an hour than I have in a month at this park. I guess we need to remind ourselves we can always go back and less experienced detectors will give up and go on to easier places.
